Why so expensive ?
I often get asked why a particular bra is more expensive than another vaguely similar item. Why is this bra £30 and that one £60 but I can buy one in the high street for £10?
Well have you thought about it? Can a bra costing £10 really be as good as one costing £30 or £60. There are an average 40 components in a good bra that is a lot of fiddly bits and pieces to put together for £10.
Now think of fabric
That beautiful Levers Lace cannot be bought for £10, delicate lace fabrics and intricate design all add to the cost. Do you really want to be wearing that cheap scratchy fabric next to your skin even if it is a pretty colour?
Is the finish perfect? We dont want any nasty seams that irritate or inside finishes to be less than perfect.
Now the design
Last but not least it has been said that designing a bra is not unlike designing a suspension bridge. A bras’ design has to take into account gravity and sometimes tangential forces which are created as a woman turns or moves. So this is a real challenge to support the semi-solid mass of variable volume and shape which makes up a womans breasts.
To do all this successfully for £10 do you think that is possible?
